The THECB

Space Inventory

Pursuant to §61.0572 and §61.058 of the Texas Education Code, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB [Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board] ) must assist institutions in efficient use of their construction funds and the orderly development of physical plans to accommodate projected college student enrollments.

Annual Reports

Space Inventory is responsible for annually submitting two reports to the THECB [Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board] :

  • Facilities Room Inventory Report (CBM011)

Provides data on all rooms used by the University

  • Facilities Building Inventory Report (CBM014)

Provides data on all buildings used by the University

A coding structure and framework implemented by the THECB [Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board] is used to classify UT Dallas buildings and rooms.

Peer Reviews

To assess, verify, and improve the data and process by which institutions report the use of campus facilities, the THECB [Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board] organizes and facilitates peer reviews of institutions. During these reviews, the THECB conducts a comprehensive audit of education and general facilities on an institution’s campus(es). peer reviews are held on a five-year rotation.
